10 3/4" tall x 7 1/4" wide when measured from arm to arm

The box is in good antique condition: there is some wear and aging to the wood

which creates a spiral pattern as it joins one pine needle bundle to the next

but it is very faint and I am unable to read it

a mystery maker I have been unable to place

On its 32 sides are the spelled out numbers 1 10 and pictures representing each letter of the alphabet; I'd like to think many of them Mackinaw bridge, tent, a steam liner with the words "the Love Boat" on the side , etc had particular significance to this particular family.
