Description
I really can't imagine any better soap dish for next to the bathroom sink or on the lip of the tub than this one
which is large enough to fill with a good stash of chocolate kisses or whatever
I love evocative found language
21" x 16 3/4" framed
Not too long ago I was alerted to the fact that frames made for tintypes specifically are hard to find--and frames made specifically for tiny gem tintypes I think all the more so
c. 1870s CDV Portrait of Lincoln-esque (Quaker?) Man, Mote Brothers , Richmond Indiana boy on turtle I really can't imagine anyA c. 1870s carte de visite, of a very Lincoln esque gentleman, who seems possibly Quaker, given his dress and the source of the cdv: the Mote Brothers, Quaker City Gallery, Richmond, Indiana. I am a bit confused about whether a photo of a painting or not I think perhaps a photo of a photo that had been embellished with hand painting (especially evident on neck tie and jacket.) I love it for that ambiguity, and for his great face! 4 3 16" X 2 1 2".
