Sun King Aralia emerges mid spring with bright gold compound leaves up to three feet long that contrast with the reddish brown stems. A few hours of sunlight each day will result in the foliage remaining golden yellow, while deeper shade will produce a range of chartreuse to lime green colors. In mid to late summer, clusters of tiny white flowers will produce inedible purple fruit.
