The strap runs wide across the toe, then a slim T bar rises up the centre of the foot to meet a band across the instep, with a keeper holding it neat. Round the back, an ankle strap fastens on an adjustable metal buckle (100% zamak) with pin holes to set it exactly where you want, and there's an elasticated strip built into the strap so it gives as you walk and settles
